Although there’s nothing more fulfilling than being seen when you present your best and most authentic self, it’s also really embarrassing and heart breaking to be overlooked, or unsuccessful as that same authentic version of yourself that you’re so proud of. I don’t know what I could’ve done better or differently to change the results of the 2022 Miss Maryland competition, but now that it all said and done, it truly felt like this just wasn’t for me. No matter how bad I wanted it for myself… So now how do I cope with being told no, in order to walk in the will of God?
